This includes what Sora has been doing after the ending of Kingdom Hearts 3, complete with a new haircut, outfit, and place to stay. It’s stated that he’d been asleep for seven days after he arrived in Quadratum, a world described as an “Afterworld” for him and his new compatriot. The few scenes from the trailer show off a city in painstakingly realistic detail that is based heavily on modern-day Tokyo. While fans were very impressed at this new gameplay and new setting, many were also able to determine exactly where Sora would reside in the real world.

As mentioned previously, Kingdom Hearts’ Quadratum is heavily based on modern-day Tokyo, with areas and districts like Shibuya being represented. Fans cross-referenced the various landmarks and possible streets that were shown in the trailer to their real-world equivalents, such as the Shibuya Stream and a park in the background. It didn’t take long for fans to figure out that Sora’s apartment flat is in the residential area of Aoyama, one of the most expensive places one can live in Tokyo.
This was broken down further, with fans again cross-referencing the photos shown of Sora’s new apartment shown in Kingdom Hearts 4. It’s seemingly modeled after an apartment in Aoyama that could be rented for 245,000 yen a month, or approximately 2000 USD. Funnily enough, the same fan pointed out it would cost over 1 million USD in order to buy the apartment itself.
Many fans were incredibly amused that they were able to essentially doxx where Sora would live in the real world by utilizing the Kingdom Hearts equivalent of Tokyo, and that the place that he is currently staying in is so incredibly expensive. Some fans were both joking and theorizing that Sora had either reincarnated as a millionaire, or his companion, who is heavily implied to be Strelitzia, came from a rich family. Regardless, while Kingdom Hearts 4 is still a ways away, there are already plenty of details that fans can find in this one trailer.
Kingdom Hearts 4 is in development.
