Who’s Not: Prince Fielder batted .173 and .225 in consecutive postseasons, numbers which may have played a role in Detroit’s willingness to trade him. Postseason stats don’t necessarily matter for fantasy owners, but Fielder’s .819 OPS from 2013 is a bit concerning.

Who’s Hurt: After missing a year due to Tommy John surgery, Neftali Feliz made his return to the mound late last season and should be ready to kick off 2014 at 100 percent. Whether he immediately regains the closer’s role remains to be seen, but he’ll battle Joakim Soria for the gig. Derek Holland will miss some time after requiring microfracture surgery to repair a knee injury suffered while playing with his dog. Expectations are that he’ll be able to make a midseason return.
